The upward facing blooms fanned: deep-purple with morphing streaks of cotton-white centres holding dark central veins captured against the deep purple petals on the reverse of the bloom; mustard-yellow pansies holding tiger-eyed central stripes of maroon against dark-maroon under-petals, faintly blotched yellow towards the stem; and cotton-white blooms with dark central veins, edged deep-purple on the white-underside of the petals.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd so it is with Viola tricolor. Celebrating the highly floriferous nature of the plant, pansies rise up on their stems from the base of the vase, ringing the circumference to upper ridge, as if they were multiple pirouettes in a
