Wedgwood 1975 Limited Edition production of the 1789 Sydney Cove Medallion 

The original of this medallion was produced in 1789 to commemorate the landing of the settlers at Sydney Cove, Australia. The original medallion was made from white clay obtained from Sydney Cove by Governor Phillip and sent to Sir Joseph Banks in England. The design was by Henry Webber, Wedgwood resident sculptor at Eturia from 1783 to 1796 and modelled by William Hackwood.
